Los Angeles Public Library Rebrand
The Los Angeles Public Library holds more than 6 million volumes and serves the largest population of any public library system in the U.S. Since millennials use public libraries the most out of all adult groups, my goal was to create a more exciting identity for the LAPL that captures a younger attitude. It is my belief that words are our greatest tools of self expression, and every book is a different emotional journey. I designed an identity system around the emotional experience of reading, focusing on individual experience and the moods that books capture. This louder and more expressive attitude makes for a more engaging library experience.
